I think there's a difference between the most common sedan in America and an $80,000+ hunk of junk that only people that support Musk would buy.
Yet still there are people that make strange (and terrible) financial decisions, when preorders just opened, people were really looking forward into buying it. I'm still not convinced that each owner buys it because of politics/trump/etc.
