I was looking for weather broadcast on 8.3kHz but found my neighbors washingmachine instead

Antenna was about 20m of random wire coil on a sound card, recorded with Friture.
Shouldn't be 3-phase unless that's common wherever you are. Pretty much every washing machine I've seen just goes on a normal SP20A circuit.
There isnt 3-phase mains going into the device, but i assume is uses a 3-phase brushless motor with a driver circuit for speed control
Yeah could be, that would make sense. I confess, I haven't opened many of them up.
With the frequency jumps I'd say you're right
