The lifetime purchase to remove ads is up. It's a bit pricey but I can understand why, Lemmy has a smaller userbase. Totally worth it.

I wonder if it was because of the backlash from being subscription only? I was surprised by how many angry posts there were. I gotta admit even I was disappointed. I don't mind paying for a pro version. But a subscriptions a bit of an ask, as I don't need the features offered by it, but I do like sync and Lawrence is a good guy.

No ads for 20 bucks isn't bad as an alternative if you don't need the features

Yeah, he didnt have that option when I first installed it. Went ahead and grabbed that.

Are you talking about sync ultra or is there another ad free purchase? Ultra life time costs 120 usd, which is too much for me

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Yeah if you just click 'remove ads' on the sidebar it's $20 for lifetime I believe

There's the remove ads option, which is not a subscription to anything. It's $20.

They are talking about the remove ads option. It's a one time purchase just to remove ads with none of the additional features of the subscription. As I understand it.
