That would take an amendment to the Constitution, which requires 2/3 of states to ratify. He has a better chance of taking it by force than by law.

Some guy pitched it as "Vance runs with Asshole as VP, wins then resigns. Asshole is prez again." Of course this requires Vance not having ambitions of his own.

"Some guy" in this case is Trump during the interview with NBC btw - that's exactly his (first) plan
