Get involved with your local leftist organizations. If there is not an effort to form community protection efforts be the one to suggest them.

Buy guns and learn how to use them.

Form support groups to protect you and your neighbors from unlawful raids.

Our government is abandoning us. We're all we have left.

Exactly. First they go after the groups nobody cares about or wants to be associated with by presenting a false choice. Speak out against the "deportations" as an elected Democrat, they'll go

"Oh, so you support letting criminal gang members run rampant in our communities?"

Speak out against the anti-trans actions and they'll say,

"Oh, so you think it should be okay for pedophiles and sexual predators to sneak into women's locker rooms and restrooms?"

And they'll do it loudly in front of their media cameras and you have the false choice of either tanking your approval rating, or letting the fascism continue.
