Unlike most city builder games, in Astro Architect building is done by playing cards that depend on the vote of your workers.

Each cycle, your people vote based on their needs, their aptitude and the current state of the station, which makes each playthrough unique.

Additionally, at the very beginning, you can decide for which corporation you work for, which defines the direction of the tasks assigned by the corporation's CEO, as well as a development tree that, in this difficult world of business, will make it at least a little easier for you to move towards your goal.

Quoted from Steam description. This sounds so cool. Except for the playing cards part, which bumps into my irrational dislike of playing cards/card games, but that's just me.
