My sibling had their tonsils/adenoids removed in adulthood and the recovery was brutal, days 3-5 were the worst. Would you say the UPPP or the deviated septum correction was more impactful? I know you had to get both for insurance to cover it, but I'd rather not do both if I can avoid it haha

The UPPP sucked more recovery-wise in my case, turns out I'm down 4 lbs after 1.5 weeks resting. The instructions said the throat pain would intensify over the first week but it didn't seem to get much worse for me, just bad for a few days and then slowly got better. Whether it fixes up my snoring/sleep apnea remains to be seen. Hoping it does but we will see. This would have more impact on my SO's sleep, but I do have a CPAP so I could make do with that.

the septum correction/turbinate reduction has made all the difference so far with not much pain, but I suspect I got lucky pain-wise. If I had to choose, it would be this one every day of the week.
