Think I heard something last week about the US negotiating with Belarus to secure Potash and something else. Canada supplies nearly all of the US Potash imports. They were never not going to be putting these tariffs, seems like they were just trying to find a replacement supplier for some of the things what little manufacturing they have left vitally needs.

Also, just a reminder, when Trump was telling the American public that covid wasn't anything to worry about, he was also sending Putin shipments of covid tests and testing equipment.
