When I first started getting into SFF cases, I was in a rush to get the most affordable thing I could find, which ended up being the K39 + 500W Flex ATX PSU combo off Superbuy.

This ugly little white case showed up and I immediately disliked it. Since then, I've spray painted everything black, printed new grills and made a Thor Zone Borg style stand (since it didn't come with feet)

The graphics card fan crapped out on me a while ago as well, so I reprinted the shroud and zip-tied in the IS-60 fan that's controlled with Fan Control V159.

I've been waiting for the Superbuy branded PSU to crap out but it's holding strong after 2 years. If I had to do it again, I'd probably go with a Velka 3 or Densium 4. It's not the prettiest machine but I've put a lot of work into it to make it something I'm happy to have on my desk.

Specs:

  • CPU: Intel i9-9900K
  • Cooler: ID-Cooling IS-60, swapped fan for a Noctua
  • GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1050Ti, custom shroud with IS-60 cooling fan
  • RAM: 32 GB
  • PSU: Superbuy 500W Flex

Looks clean, nice job! Also I had no idea the concept for this community was a thing and I've been interested in moving to a smaller PC case for a while so I'm excited to see a community on the topic.

Thanks! The people at r/sffpc were super helpful, I'm hoping that carries over here. I've never moderated a community before, so I'm happy to see it grow. I'll probably start a thread for resources eventually, so keep an eye out if you want advice for parts and cases!
