Windows stopped including a codec to play DVDs a couple versions ago. what's a good way of still playing them on Windows 10 or 11?

i own DVDs but I'm looking for software options that work. VLC doesn't unless i get that missing codec, etc

edit: everyone is stopping that VLC can do it with no extra requirements. it didn't work before but I'll try again

VLC includes all codecs it needs internally to play DVD's. If VLC is not playing DVD's, there's something else wrong with your system.

You might also try MPV player.
