Anyone here running an IOS Lemmy app? I’ve got Memmy which is quite good, but doesn’t have Direct Messages to other users. A pretty fundamental requirement I’d think.
Got caught out earlier as someone had sent me a DM, but the Memmy app didn’t alert me, or is it even able to display the message. Had to go to a browser to read and reply. Apparently it’s still in development in the Memmy app.
If anyone has a recommendation for a different IOS app, I’ll be very grateful, thanks.
I found another IOS app Mlem. This does give access to DMs, but the app screen layout and customising is not as nice as Memmy for me, too many large images in the feed. Ah well, not the end of the world!!
I’m using Memmy on iPad. I like it but it’s a bit buggy, sometimes it freezes or reacts really slowly. If you find something better let us know!
Tried Lemmios, got the Direct Messages OK, but the settings don’t seem great, can’t change the content listings to New from the default Hot. Think I’ll stick to a browser until Memmy gets updated.
Found LiftOff! another IOS Lemmy app. This one looks good to me. Plenty of customising of the display style, text sizes etc, plus can see my DM’s so I’ll be trying it out.
Ah I've been using LiftOff on my android phone while waiting for Sync, didn't realise they had an IOS app too. I'll try it out on the ipad later today, thanks!
The only thing I don’t like so much is it doesn’t change the post title font color on the feed after I’ve read it. Memmy does that making it easy to see what I’ve alreeady viewed.
