Fediverse vs Disinformation
Pointing out, debunking, and spreading awareness about state- and company-sponsored astroturfing on Lemmy and elsewhere. This includes social media manipulation, propaganda, and disinformation campaigns, among others.
Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.
What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.
By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.

Sure! Someone who advocates for workers' rights and supports the strengthening of labor unions as essential to improving working conditions and achieving economic equality. Which is why I contribute to and voted for the Socialist Workers Party. And I have even started several communities for them on different instances. And I own a mastadon account for them. And I run the x.com account for them.
I was in a teacher's union for over 20 years.
Also a socialist upholds the value of free speech by defending the right to express diverse opinions, including conservative viewpoints, in the spirit of democratic engagement and dialogue.
We good, now?
