I do have to agree they are competing with actual restaurant prices with their pricing, however they have the fast food/ intermediate zoning on pretty solid lockdown. If I had to choose between going to Five Guys or going to a restaurant ultimately it's going to depend on how fast I wanted the meal. Five guys can have the meal in and out in under 3 minutes where if I went to a restaurant like Applebee's or Outback I'm going to be there 10-15 minutes minimum
Plus with five guys, like I said before infinite peanuts so like I have something to snack on while I'm waiting for my order or I have nothing to occupy my time but Dooms scrolling on my phone if I'm at a sit down restaurant or doing takeout
Plus an unrelated piece, I kind of like being able to see what the progress of my order is before it's done. Like it gives me something to do, hopefully that doesn't bug the actual people cuz it's not like I'm bugging them about it but I find it really interesting to be able to watch your order as it's being made
