Neat, you're at odds with the definitions used by the entire switch CFW community, but I'm glad you get to feel like you know what you're talking about.
Erista is v1, Mariko is v2. 'First gen' means Erista. This is how I've seen it for the entire six years I've been developing homebrew for the switch. It's how my documentation lists it, it's how everyone else's documentation lists it. Otherwise you're trying to delineate between multiple asynchronous hardware revisions, which with nintendo's arbitrarily applied board codes boy does that get convoluted...
listen man, I'm just upset that the first persob got pissy with me because I just tried to point out that with my understanding of how things worked, and how they worded their first and second reply, they had paid some Reddit rando $140 more than they should have. I'll admit that I am not "in the scene" so to speak, and that I find it odd that this is how they have chosen to label things as to people who aren't in the know it would be very confusing. I apologize for being rash. I do not do well with perceived passive-aggressiveness over text.
Are you new here because you're doing this wrong, genuine self awareness isn't a thing we do on the internet. We just get snotty at people talking about our specific interests because we haven't slept in forty-some hours.

first off, you started off with i "got ripped off" and you don't even know shit about me or my equipment. of course im going on the defensive, don't cry about it. learn and move on.
I may not know anything about you, but if (as perceived by what you had said originally) someone pays $150 for what should be a $10 service, you are being ripped off. Dont need to know anything about you or your equipment for that.
