Agreed.
Speaking of, it's important to recognize that Winnipeg has a hell of a history around unions and rebellion that could set a good precedent/example.
Perhaps I should make another post about the Red River Rebellion for this community, considering the attention this post got.
It should also be remembered that Winnie the Pooh is named after Winnipeg. Take that, Teddy Ruxpin!
Yes I can confirm! We also have (or at least had) a statue of Winnie at our zoo!

I think we might have statue at Leo Mol Sculpture Garden or around it.
That makes sense! I wasn't sure what happened to it after they reno'd the zoo
