Maybe he thinks he's dunking on trans people by implying that trans men aren't actually men, maybe I'm giving him too much credit.
Probably a little too much credit. He's very much into pronatalism, just only for the right people (seriously, listen to some of the stuff he says and you'll quickly get the point that he's basically preeching eugenics).
The irony is that even if we'd take the eugenetic model as espoused by Musk, then Musk wouldn't be allowed to have children. He looks like a misformed fridge and isn't naturally blond.
I guess he needs to compensate for something tiny.

And doesn't even treat them humanely or with kindness. Has them only for attention. X-Æ-A-12? That name might as well count as child abuse imo, 'cos you're setting them up to be bullied and it's also a hard to say name, and ridiculous.
And then there's his daughter he never acknowledged. He always misgenders her and says, "yeah bC my (wrong gender) died I'm crusaDiNg on wOke". (Which isn't the reason, 'cause he always was an asshole, and he could've tried to understand her instead). Family man, my ass.
But what do you expect from a white South African immigrant to the US, who supported apartheid? At the very least he could've gone the blessed Klercq route when growing up, but apparently he chose to go full Malan* or Bibi instead.
* Malan was the fourth Prime Minister of South Africa, less than 50 years after the Boer wars where the Afrikaners had an attempted genocide by the British. Malan was responsible, together with a large share of white South African society at the time, for instating apartheid.
