Summary

Snoop Dogg faced backlash from fans after performing at the "Crypto Ball," a black-tie event celebrating Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration.

Snoop, who once criticized Trump in his music and public statements, praised him in 2024 and performed his hit "Nuthin’ but a G Thang" at the $2,500-$5,000 per ticket event hosted by tech moguls.

Fans labeled the performance "embarrassing" and "disrespectful," citing his past anti-Trump sentiments, including a music video and song that mocked Trump during his first term.

Based on personal believes I wouldn't like perform for Trump if I was in Snoops position. But there's no denying that Trump is legitimately the president starting this evening and by your logic anyone that works for trump directly or indirectly as part of the government legitimizes or serves Trump as president in one way or another

No, that's not how my logic works. Bureaucrats, technocrats, and representatives are serving the Constitution and the American people. They are not serving Trump. Snoop doesn't have to perform at the inauguration. He chose to work for Trump.

Trump is a traitor, rapist, authoritarian, un-American, anti-democratic, an oligarch, a wannabe gangster, conman, antichrist, and an all around piece of shit.

Anyone who tolerates him is also a piece of shit and an enemy of all free people.

The people in the government will now have to follow Trumps orders since he has the power to fire them and he wants to use it widely to replace them with yes-men. Yes the people working in the government are serving the people not the president. But you know he will get rid of people who won't show him loyalty and for 4 years he's kinda their boss. Collaborator makes it sound like the republican party is occupying the US illegally which it is not since they won (sadly).

The citizens of the US (the free people you're talking about) voted him into office by their own volition

Yes I know Trump will get rid of disloyal public servants. He'll do thst because he is a tyrant. Public servants do not have to do shit if it's against the constitution. In fact, it's their duty to refuse unlawful orders even if it means termination.

The Republican party is at war with the American people and the Constitution. They and Trump legally have positions of power but they have proven by past actions and statements about their future actions that they have no intention of following the constitution, or even basic law. Anyone who supports them supports their illegal and un-American agenda. They are not different than collaborators with any other fascist party in history.

So you'd argue a civil servant that follows and order from trump that is legal but creates problems in one way or another for the American people are a collaborator? I don't think we can speak of the word collaborator since up to now he has gained power completely legally and as long as you don't help him carry out unconstitutional acts I don't think this includes them.
