I'd rather not have to scrape ice of my windshield and have about one month of hot days (lucky enough to have AC at home, which isn't common in the bay area).

I don’t have to scrape ice off my windshield because I not only work from home but also have a two car garage

You don't have to scrape ice off of your windshield. There are products now that you can spray on it to melt the ice. Have been for a very long time, over a decade, in fact.

The true point is cold conditions that hurt your skin, but ok. Here I am thinking it's a bit chilly because my home got to 66° and that works for me.

It's worth it, the cold keeps the mosquitoes down

There are no mosquitos here because there is no standing water. There were mad mosquitos in Kansas despite the cold because there is standing water.

......what? Do.....do you not see the massive lake we have?

I live near it and walk around it for exercise. Comparatively, we have no standing water because of gradients in elevation. Large parts of the midwest are flat as far as the eye can see.

Dude. It's 2 degrees outside right now. I'm pretty sure this cold keeps the polar bears down. Or....actually up. I guess they'd be in Canada.

Source: never seen a polar bear in Cleveland outside of the zoo.
