If that were really true then Republicans being guaranteed would also make one ask why they’re spending so much money supporting them.
Democrats do exist in those states, obviously, so they have the choice to support them and have clearly chosen not to.
Companies don't generally donate for ideology, they donate for political favors. Donating to the losing party is a waste of money, there's no reason for them to donate to Democrats.
No, they really don't. The dnc doesn't run anyone in red states, just purple and blue.
To answer your first question, to get their issues voted on. The same reason anyone contributes to campaigns. It's how American democracy works and was designed. You have to pay to have your voice heard.
