SpaceX’s Starlink service can be an absolute game changer for those completely out of range of broadband access. Getting several hundred megabits per second in the middle of nowhere is a decidedly good thing, assuming you can afford the $120 a monthly subscription, $375 (or more) hardware fee, and occasional $100 “congestion surcharges.”

Oh, and let's just continue to screw over astronomy research for the foreseeable future. https://www.astronomy.com/science/starlink-satellites-disrupt-cosmic-studies/

I think this is a good opportunity to advance astronomy research by forcing us to build telescopes outside of the atmosphere.

Not that it'll happen, but the opportunity is there.

Only Elon can fix the problem that he caused!

With the incoming administration likely cutting NASA further, who else would build and launch satellite telescopes but SpaceX?

Since they did all the work (with government grants), they should clearly get to profit from all that effort, so expect to need to pay exorbitant subscription fees to access partial images captured from these satellites.
