That's not the same person though. Unless they changed backpack and jacket.
And if that's so, that makes it even worse. Why the fuck should whoever that is be in the crosshairs if he isn't even the guy?
Nobody should be volunteering the identities of anyone to law enforcement without their consent and/or a valid warrant.
Well, I'm putting HI New York City Hostel on my don't ever support list. I love visiting NYC and they're never getting a dollar out of me now.
We don't know what happened. My baseless speculation is that NYPD have something linking him to the hostel and got a court order for the security footage. HI is an absolute madhouse, and I can't see them remembering one generically dressed guy, tipping off the authorities, and that somehow standing out amid the thousands of tips NYPD has said they're getting. Realistically this isn't HI finking, this is NYPD getting off their lazy asses and actually doing some work.
I have never heard of the term "fink" or "finking" before.
That's because it's archaic slang from 90 years ago
WE'RE BRINGING IT BACK, BABY.
Why the fuck would you change jackets and backpacks into something vaguely similar if you’re trying to disguise yourself? Clearly the police fucked up.
The killers closet:
what if the killer thought the police would be thinking the way you are and acted accordingly to confuse them?
It's not a fuck up to interview fitting suspects
I believe that this photo was purported to have been taken as many as 10 days prior, and it's also highly likely that he bought the Peak backpack just for the shooting, since it was later found abandoned.
How do they know it's him?
I could not begin to tell you.
