Murder fun seems to be the message?
Not murder.
Denial of service.
This is not legal advice, but i'm pretty sure it was simply murder.
Hooray for murder‽
There is no rule of law when legal change stops being an option. Like when cops kill people for being brown, this is an act of terror. It's not ideal, but neither is capitalism that will never be peacefully stopped.
It was murder, yeah. And dude deserved it :) And so do all the crooks in government he and others like him line the pockets of.
Politicians have ensured that there is no peaceful, legal pathway to reform. That's why this happened.
Isn't there going to be a very big change to US government come january?
Honestly, simply put, imo, no. The same rich and powerful are going to be in charge then. Even more so. I’d argue that the incoming government even guarantees that there’s no peaceful, legal, pathway to reform.
And what are they gonna do except continue to line their pockets while we all suffer.
Most armed country in the world. Continue to fuck around and you will find out. I can’t believe it took this long.
Towards authoritarianism and dictatorship and away from democracy, yes.
So change is possible if you gather sufficient votes?
In the US? No.

So nothing is changing in january?
but if the president wears different pants than the previous president that goes to show voting can affect change
how can someone be so lacking in nuance? your world is so black and white lol.
my guy, you really need to think through things more, you're so simple it's mind boggling
So black and white that I don't manage to appreciate murder, apparently :)
In my way, I see that as a good thing.
you haven't responded to the myriad comments pointing out when we feel it's justified to kill someone, like defending yourself and others or at times of war.
So, what's your stance?
Even in self defense, to me, killing someone is last resort.
I get robbed at gunpoint: i give them my wallet.
I get attacked for reasons beyond my control (gaybashing for example): i'd try to run, as it's usually a group of people. I'd cry for help. I'd try to inflict enough pain to get away.
I'm at war. I don't want to be at war. I also noticed people larping here, like they want to be in a war. To me that's crazy.
I get wormholed back to baby hitler: Wouldn't kill him. Would encourage him often to persue arts.
More specific to this case: it's not self defense if you stalk a person then kill them, in my opinion.
That's incel turned rapist/murderer thinking, in my opinion.
Yes but now you're discussing nuance whereas in your replies to everyone else you're making a blanket statement that murder is always wrong.
You can't reject other peoples' nuanced arguments with a blanket statement then retreat to making your own when confronted.
Your POV is valid, and I'm not telling you you're wrong to believe it, but you haven't been engaging with others in good faith.
Stalking someone, to then kill them. That's incel turned rapist/murderer behaviour, to me.
I've genuinely only seen people enjoying murder, saying it's great because they don't like the murder victim.
What nuance am I missing, that's not encompassed by: "they don't like the murder victim"?
I'm referring to people talking about the trolley problem, defense, war, etc.
When it comes to killing the CEO I'm not gonna argue it because your position is valid.
I agree it's "wrong" but I won't hide my smile, I wouldn't be sad about some other similar incidents either.
When there is no justice, there can be no peace.
There's not really a question left.
I'm glad you get to feel good. Good for you.
Sad someone got to die for you to feel good. Have you tried hiking?
Nah fewer bad people in the world is better medicine
I'm sure Trump's concepts of a plan will fix healthcare in this country. Yup, definitely should have just waited for daddy Trump to give the healthcare industry a spanking. He's definitely not a slimy conman who will just let the insurance industry line his pockets like every other politician.
the world isn't so black and white, and this kind of attitude (preservation of the status quo, valuing order over justice) is what allows evil to persist.
Sometimes we need to get our hands dirty, and you're benefiting today from the people willing to do that in past generations.
Sometimes it's armies storming a beach, sometimes it's the people checking those in power
Murder isn't fun, but someone sacrificing their future to put fear into the hearts of the rich is good. They've taken away any hope of reform to stuff their faces with more fruits of other people's labor. They're to blame for Trump, both the ones who supported him, and the ones who held back the Democrats from basic social democracy.
They made sure we can't live healthy lives, so we need to make sure they can't either. They took our futures, so we must make sure they can't buy one for themselves. They need to wake up and realize that they're on this sinking ship with us. You need to realize that they'll never help until there are more costs to not helping.
Claims to empathy are denied when they've never had empathy for their "customers".
Is empathy the reason you don't murder? Hooray for murder if it's someone I don't like?
Guillotines have been used effectively to enact change within deeply corrupt societies. It's not about "someone (we) don't like". It's about mass murder, and sending a message that people's lives aren't expendable so that executive bonuses and stock buybacks can be increased. It's about the fact that working within the system as it stands currently has not worked. Just look at companies like Anthem, trying to put time limits on anaesthesia coverage. Why should we all sit idly by while the envelope keeps getting pushed further and further? Death is the only language these people understand.
Never thought I'd live to be in a Lord of the flies situation. Y'all won't convince me murder is good. Disgusting.
Let me ask you, should the allies have stood by and done nothing while Hitler and the Nazi party exterminated people? Would you have shed a tear if Hitler were murdered by the allies? Do we not judge the german people of the era for not standing up to fight against tyranny? Was that a "Lord of the flies situation"?
Just remember, the Nazi party started their genocide, by murdering the sick, and the disabled.
"If theft is bad, why are people cheering for Robin Hood?"
Say someone is holding a bunch of people hostage, at gunpoint.
Is it justified to “murder” them?
Now turn the gun into a massive industry that puts itself between people and healthcare in order to profit off the need for care. And turn that room full of hostages into 1/3 of the country.
Morals are relative. If this CEO was in his truck running down the sidewalk crushing people, it’s justified to shoot them if you can.
Murder isn't necessarily good but I do in fact think it's good when bad things happen to bad people. If you want to wring your hands over the death of him then go right ahead, the rest of us are quite happy with the state of affairs
"Oppress me harder daddy"
— You, a top tier cuck
So you're a Kantian deontologist?
So you would not pull the lever. Got it.
Murder isn't good or bad, it depends on the context. Always.
Soldiers murdering soldiers isn't called murder, but it is, we just don't like to call it that because it's uncomfortable, so we bullshit ourselves by saying "it's not murder, it's war!" War being that thing where old men order young men to go murder one another to increase or preserve the old men's power.
If you want to keep your mind closed, fine. But one should always be open to having their views challenged and having their mind changed, that's called thinking.
Those who refuse to think in the name of maintaining their positions/views/opinions as they are just die stupid/ignorant.
Murder is not good, it never is. But if this guy really is involved in the suffering of milions, and the death of many through financial debt, all of this to enrich himself and his goon, well then I don't justify murder, but I am sure as hell not going to cry any tear for him. Especially in a system where people like him don't fave any consequence for ruining people's life.
Here's a moral dilemma for you: would you kill Hitler if you got traspodted in 1945 and were in a room with him and a gun in your hand? Of course they are not the same situation, but if you apply a digital idea of morality (murder = good/bad) you should let Hitler live and make him cotinue killing millions
Then get the fuck out of the way liberal. Nobody is asking you to murder people.
Our empathy was stolen from us by CEOs like that dead guy. This is the results of their actions. I'm not murdering. I just don't care about catching him. I don't care because of their actions.
When a shitty person dies it's difficult to care about because they've spent years if not decades denying empathy to everyone else. Hitler, school bullies, etc to anyone affected by either would you expect them to be sad at their funeral?
I'm not out here throwing a party but I'm not pretending some rich twatnugget I don't know deserves the space in my brain to care.
We should strive to have empathy for all.
But yeah, it's hard to have empathy for a gas chamber operator, an American Healthcare insurance ceo, etc...
There are limits to empathy, like empathizing with practicing murderous sociopaths.
Commander Data discusses political violence.
Murder was justice.
Memes are fun!
I've been told by close allies of the US that not liking murder is antisemitism.
