It only has a surface level similarity to pokemon. It's as much like fallout 4 as it is pokemon.
palworld is more like ark anyway
Idk I literally went around just catching pals and spent 30 hours doing that, seems pretty pokemon to me.
What were you doing for the majority of those 30 hours? Most likely resource gathering, building your base, optimizing pal usage, etc... Basically the only similarity is that you throw spheres at creatures. There's no gyms, no turn based gameplay, no trading, no evolution, and not even really trainer battles, just some unique encounters.
You: "bet you had to optimize and synergize and energize..."
Me: "haha, crossbow and pal sphere go brrr."
As long as you can see it's not pokemon lol
The day Pokémon adds crossbows it might be fun again
Nothing is gonna save it until game freak gets a change in management
