Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! πŸ‡΅πŸ‡

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

Hindi ako updated bago nag-balckout. Bakit pala 'di nalang sumanib sa [email protected] na dati ko pa nakita dito bago pa yung drama sa Puladit?

Lemmy.ml wasn't accepting new registrations anymore. They, in fact, recommended everyone to register somewhere else. Believe me, I tried so many times. Stupid me even went to Lemmygrad.ml, lol.

Lemmy.world allowed anyone to just sign up and start posting without the "intricate" steps of looking for "[email protected]". It's an instance that's also handled well, being able to take on larger traffic in the last few days.

Lastly, and this is just a bonus since I wasn't aware of it at the time I made the community: lemmy.world is free (or strives to be) of the tankiness usually echoed by communities under those instances. We don't really want that hanging over our heads. So, I'm fortunate it played out the way it did.

Lemmy.ml is not accepting new registrants anymore. I was fortunate I have one created last week.

Para sa'kin 'di naman relevant yun, basta federated yung home instance mo sa kanila, makakasali ka sa communities nila. Yun yung punto ng ActivityPub ng Fediverse.

Pero gets ko sabi ng isa na may ibang pilosopiya

Yeah. I was curious last week what's on fediverse, so I created one and I forgot it. lol
