Sorry but not a good doctor if they shame you like that.
This isn't shaming, this is helping to realize there might actually be a problem.
Actually I think that's the right answer. Saying "it's normal to feel miserable" is what a 50s doctor or a Catholic priest would say, not someone who wants to do no harm.
Wait, it's not normal to feel miserable?
Only if you're catholic or poor
Because they got singled out in the process.
And? Don't you want individualized treatment from your medical professionals? It's not like the doc went to this person's workplace and they had a fucking icebreaker about depression. It's a 1x1 clinical environment: "no life does not need to be this way and we can help you" isn't "singled out" its individual care.
The doctor basically told the patient that they are not normal.
No such thing
That's my point.
Is it tho?
Are you trying to tell me what my point is or is not?
I suppose I was since that was a rhetorical question. Your stated point does not align with your statements. Honestly this Lemmy app is exhausting to use else I'd put more effort into explaining but...life's short.
Well your point is wrong.
All they said is that feeling depressed or anxious all the time is not normal, nothing about the patient themselves.
How? Natural state shouldn't be negative a state.
The lol isn't in quotes so it not the doctor laughing just the narrator laughing at the situation they are in.
You'll have to explain why you made it personal before I engage with your statement.
And you get a block. No need for toxic people in my life.
