That's pretty neat! An old job took over a space that used to be owner by, I think, Raytheon, and they left some neat junk behind including a touchscreen that can't have been much newer than that. It used a grid of IR beamers and receivers across the screen and your finger would interrupt an X and a Y beam to indicated location. Pretty cool.
