That tracks. The only people who're buying new cars in Californis are rich.
It's also that the col is so high the effective cost of a tesla isn't so bad, especially with the extra subsidies.
Depending on where you are in California, you can get a brand new model 3 for $14k. You don’t have to be rich at all.
