Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Ethical? Yeah, totally. I can get why you and others may be bothered by seeing a surgery, but plenty of others are not. Ethics has nothing to do with the situation. It's not like they are letting random people take pictures. The person who is there has already been given consent to be there in the first place. Also, the patient is usually awake during a C-section.
They have given their consent for a medical procedure.
Sharing an x-ray of one's troubled jaw freely is illegal as it is too personal. And photoes of a bare vag and a c-section are too. Unless the woman is consenting to that.
I'm caring more about the fact that these photoes are fucking grim and even if the consent is there, it's weird someone would want them.
Yes, and that is when you are asked if you want anyone else in the room with you. You can also change that at any time up until before you go in. Doctors do not let just anyone in without explicit consent.
That's your opinion. Myself, and many others, do not think so.
pictures of a c-section, vs pictures of a mangled corpse in a car wreck, is an apples to oranges comparison. I think you wouldn't want to see a surgery, and you are really stretching to make it seem that anyone who would, is a bad person. Pictures of these things are common, lots of people film, and photograph, births. Many people are fine with recordings of their medical procedures, for both personal, and educational reasons.
Just because you don't like something does not make other people bad for finding interest in it.
If the patient wants the pics then go for it! I have some pictures half way through a root canal that are awesome.
