For images where the text reads correctly left to right, but visual cues (like colouration, vertical proximity, or horizontal separation) lead you to try to read it top to bottom.

This is similar to, but distinct from, the more widely known “DontDeadOpenInside” format. In that case, the text reads correctly top to bottom, but visual cues (like colouration, horizontal proximity, or vertical separation) lead you to try to read it left to right.

Unfortunate scenario.

People are being displaced from their homes so that landlords can use housing to maximize profit. The law currently helps landlords to do this and does not include any meaningful safeguards for tenants defending their homes.

Indeed. It's so obvious "the law" was bribed by landlords, but what can people do against it?

Depends on where you live. L.A. County forces landlords to pay tenants a hefty sum of money if they want to evict them, and they have pretty great rent control in some areas.
