In the Netherlands, a pharmacist is a protected proffesion that require a specific university 3-year university master's degree, with a mandatory 1000-hour internship (for a pittance, of course).
The median national income for everyone is 43k, so yeah, they really should be getting a raise!
A pharmacist and a pharmacy worker are not the same thing though.
Ah, that's fair, not everyone there has to be a pharmacist
it's insane how standard it is to exploit healthcare workers just because they can't really strike without killing people, nor can they quit without the knowledge that people will die as a consequence since no one else wants to do the shit work for shit pay.
It's just a tax on having a conscience, the more you care about others the more you can be exploited.
