You paid hundreds of dollars for a new monitor, but it doesn't matter. More ads, more profits.

The only real risk from 5G is that connectivity will be cheap enough that these objects don't need to ask.

Do they come with receivers to pick it up already? if so, that's pretty sketchy

Not to my knowledge. But dwindling costs and ballooning greed will eventually cross.
