I can't believe they got so close to executing the guy. There's so much evidence that she died from illness, and "shaken baby syndrome" turned out not to be a thing. It's frightening that so many were willing to say "yeah, but they found him guilty at the time."

The guy that arrested him initially was on the news last night stating that they didn't know about all of her previous medical history. Excuse me, but isn't that your fucking JOB, to investigate that?

I heard him on NPR saying they really screwed up.

The guy is autistic, and one of the big things that got him arrested is that he didn't seem very emotional when they took the baby to the hospital. I mean, I get that hospital staff needs to be on the lookout for strange behavior when there's a death or serious injury, but once there's a good explanation, that in itself shouldn't be an issue.
