Had a convo with a couple of colleagues the other day about dark mode. They dont understand how I can work with it. I dont understand how you can use all white in office or outlook and that NOT hurt your eyes? so DT, what do you use? I'm dark mode all the way. Windows, Office apps, even my phone.
Dark mode, no argument. The only correct answer is dark mode. It's easier to see, write, and read, and doesn't give me a headache.
Normal/light mode, I can literally feel my eyes strain and ache, my retina blasted away by the searing white light.
Edit: just realised light mode is the same feeling I get when I'm reading a book, and the sunlight hits the page just right so it glows, but you're too comfy to move and try to read through it... And go blind
Dark mode all the way. Your colleagues are weird.
Light mode just because it's the default and I've always been lazy to bother changing and adjusting to new things
you can guarantee your phone is safe no oneβs gonna even look at it

Yep, dark mode whenever possible. I've got some beefy 4k monitors so they put out some light when the screen is all white
Oh that could be it! I've got a 32" curved monitor thats probably why it hurts hey.

Iβm a full dark mode person.
I hate white lighting but looking at screens with so much white hurts and makes my eyes tired.
Even my watches are all dark or with negative lighting.
I'm the freak that uses light mode. But after all these comments, I'm going to give dark mode another go. I've never had it on for more than 5 minutes once to decide I didn't like it.
Dark mode and night mode. So much better for my eyes.
I'm logging into and out of too many systems/servers etc in a day to tweak everything everywhere to Dark Mode. Ask me if I prefer it, then yes. Am I going to modify this remote server's settings to Dark Mode (assuming the OS even supports it)? meh.
I am comfortable either way. I will say that my personal computer is configured for Dark Mode, if that somehow answers the question. Oh, my Kindle app on phone/tablet is absolutely set to Dark Mode. That's probably the one case where I would mind. I wouldn't want to read a book for several hours without dark mode.
