Why do we care what a pedophile rapist felon says? Can we stop pretending like it's ok for this guy to be running for president? He can't own a pistol because of his crimes but we're going to give this dementia riddled moron the nuclear football?
The reality is that it is okay for him to be running for president. You seem to want us to pretend like he isn't. That sounds like a terrible idea.
Also, not only is it legal to run for president if you're a convicted felon, you can literally run for president from prison.
Which is how it should be if you can be in prison on false charges or just innocent of your crime. I realize Trump is in no way innocent, but that doesn't mean the rules should be bent for him.
Just because the traitors in the Senate refused to convict him for the coup attempt, that doesn't make it "okay" for him to run! The 14th Amendment applies whether the corrupt government acknowledges reality or not.
This shit isn't legitimate; it's tyranny.
Well, you can complain about it all you want, but in the real world, he's going to be on the ballot in all 50 states and pretending he isn't achieves nothing.
That's not the same thing as saying it's "okay" and you fucking know it.
Wasn't this conversation thread about pretending Trump isn't a candidate?
You seem to have misread the original post. It didn't say anything about pretending he isn't a candidate. What it said was:
Emphasis mine
So, poster was suggesting that it's wrong for us to pretend that it is reasonable for a corrupt, criminal wanna-be fascist dictator running for president.
I kind of agree. It's not something we should consider ok. However, it is par for the course.
