Waiting for that one mfer who tells us that this is actually the optimal conditions for the roots or something.

It would dry out pretty fast and need frequent watering, but the air permeability of the denim would keep the roots from binding, so it actually would probably result in a deeper root structure and better yields.

I don't think fabric makes for a good outdoor planter. I can imaging it's rotting fast and all sorts of pests and unwanted will love this setup.

I dunno maybe being able to water the legs and not the whole thing is good for some reason

Nah that doesn't really have anything to do with anything, when you water you just saturate all the soil at once anyway. Think about how plants get watered in nature: not that often but thoroughly
