All those people moving around for work and errands not making choices. They're in their routine of doing what they're supposed to do else some event may disturb their "comfort". It's scripted by the capitalists. Or, perhaps they've been replaced by a computer.

The wise old woman turned off the dream. No matrix for you. No choice as in the movies.
