German dubs are actually top notch compared to other countries.

Sadly, this does not apply to the show Dark. Fantastic show. Terrible dubbing.

Did the German actors dub themselves? I can imagine this must be hard.

I wasn't sure, so I just looked it up. It wasn't the original actors who did the dubbing. It was some voice actors. I'm guessing very novice voice actors....

Weird. Netflix invests so much money into these shows and then gets stingy on the voice actors for the country of origin…
