This article does not encourage urgency at all. Reading this gives me the impression that we still have 100 years - if anything happens at all.
... and so on.
But for these particular problems that might be true. Let's see who will be around to witness all these maybes.
The problem with news is that by convention, every future event without absolute certainty is a "might" or "maybe." Which works great for future human actions, but not when trying to communicate the urgency of getting off of fossil fuels — these things will happen if we don't, even if the timing and suddenness is uncertain.
