They booted McCarthy specifically because they were so offended by the fact that he prioritized political reality over partisan posturing, so no - they're not going to listen.
In just a few days, this race went from scary and stressful to pure popcorn. At this point, I'm not even sure if Harris has to actively run for office - it looks more all the time as if the republicans are going to beat themselves with no help from snyone else.
Please let this be so. I'm for the party, "Let's make politics boring again!"
Between this country's issues with racism and sexism I'm not so sure.
I think you are right, Trump and co. are surely going to shoot (no pun intended) themselves in the feet man more times.
