Hello, Protestant German here. I’m hearing a lot about the infamous Quran burnings in Sweden, and find it very strange. To me it’s fighting fire with fire, and as Muslims are very religious I can imagine it hurts them a lot.

Can someone help me understand how this makes sense?

Maybe I don’t have the full picture. Thank you!

You will most definitely not be (lawfully) arrested. Your source is not a legal document, and the quote does not cite any actual law. The quote is also two decades old, Sweden have had numerous changes in both regular and constitutional law during that time.

The government does not permit demonstrations, as they can be carried out without permits in accordance with the constitution. As long as specific conditions aren't fulfilled, it is prohibited to dissolve them.
