Hello, Protestant German here. I’m hearing a lot about the infamous Quran burnings in Sweden, and find it very strange. To me it’s fighting fire with fire, and as Muslims are very religious I can imagine it hurts them a lot.

Can someone help me understand how this makes sense?

Maybe I don’t have the full picture. Thank you!

Ask the person who is burning the Quran, why would we know? FYI 99.9% of the Swedish population doesn't give a flying fuck about some attention seeking idiot, funny how people from the outside see us as "enablers" when it's a single person acting like a donkey. These types of gatherings are regulated by law and since we are an open free democratic country we allow this behaviour, you're more than welcome to go there and rally an anti-protest against the burning.
