Hello, Protestant German here. I’m hearing a lot about the infamous Quran burnings in Sweden, and find it very strange. To me it’s fighting fire with fire, and as Muslims are very religious I can imagine it hurts them a lot.

Can someone help me understand how this makes sense?

Maybe I don’t have the full picture. Thank you!

Eh, while I fully agree in this specific case, what you’re describing is definitely not the Swedish way, we absolutely love to police people’s behaviour on very vague moral grounds.

Moral only in the way if it affects others in a bad way. That may include your children and pets.

Sweden is an extremely paternalistic country. So funny with the self righteousness in this thread.
