A team from the UK designed this folding e-bike with a similar folding mechanism to Brompton bikes, but is lighter and cheaper: range isn't so hot either

£2,000 ($2,500 at current exchange rates) for the Early Bird special. Once those are gone, prices are to be bumped up to £2,500 ($3,150).

weighs no more than 14 kg (32 lbs), battery included.

Together with the battery, the M2 can achieve a maximum range of up to 50 km

From their website:

We will keep the prices the same as the FLIT-16 accessories: Mudguards – £59.95 Kickstand – £14.95 Spare charger – £49.95 Spare battery – £249.95.

Battery type: FLIT proprietary, lithium-ion 230 Wh, 36 V, 6.4 Ah, LG cells (CE)

So a startup with yet another proprietary electrical system and battery design. That ain't it.

For that price, I'd just get a Vektron.

Ebikes, scooters, longboards: Whatever floats your goat, this is all things micromobility!

"Transportation using lightweight vehicles such as bicycles or scooters, especially electric ones that may be borrowed as part of a self-service rental program in which people rent vehicles for short-term use within a town or city.

micromobility is seen as a potential solution to moving people more efficiently around cities"

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.
