"My pronouns are 'he/he'.
Because I identify as a comedian."
"Transgender people... aren't what they used to be."
- Jimmy Carr
It's like you can tell jokes without being a transphobe
Yeah, there's a big difference between
A) telling jokes that make light of a somewhat touchy or controversial subject, which people like Jimmy Carr and Anthony Jeselnik are masters of and
B) telling jokes about how persecuted minorities are insane and should not be "indulged" in their "delusion" like Babylon Bee and every unfunny far right bigot do.
In case you couldn't tell, I'm a huge fan of A when done well and absolutely deplore B..
Though, maybe he should be dialing back the "let's murder all Roma people" jokes.
Who should? I've seen most of the shows of both of the comedians I mentioned and at no point has either advocated murdering a single Roma person, let alone all. I think you might be imagining things.
I’m referring to Jimmy Carr who had articles written about how him saying the Roma people being killed in the holocaust was a good thing. But also, almost every time I have seen him in a show, he’s punching down towards the Roma people specifically.
Michael Jackson was not a regressive.
