Hey y'all - anyone still here? :)

I do cubing just for fun - no world records here, eh? These are my three newest cubes:

  • 4x4x4 - I can't remember which one exactly, but it's a lot of fun to solve. Not magnetic

  • Megaminx - YJ YuHu V2 Megaminx Magnetic

  • 1x1x1 - 1x1 Speed Cube - Black

The megaminx is messing with my head but I will keep at it. Any tips would be appreciated.

That 1x1 man, I'm leaving saving that for last, eh. :)

My tip for the megaminx is that all the algorithms are the same as the 3x3x3, they just go off at weird angles. If you can keep your focus on a corner and treat it like a 3x3x3 you should be good. The last layer is odd to get the edges, I use the same algorithms, but the patterns to look for are different and the edges move a little differently since there's an extra edge that moves around. The corners are pretty easy in the middle portions, so I just put them in place while being careful about the completed parts.

I think i get what you mean but I have trouble with 3D modeling in my thinking (which is why I started cubing). Thanks for this idea in any case
