The Water Magician: Arc 1 Volume 1 - From the get go the series seems to strive for a more scientific approach to the isekai genre. I also like that there is no numerical level or somesuch. MC's progress is measured by comparing how he fared against previous encounters. I wish more series would do that. Those uncreative videogame-like stat systems are always such a downer. And another notch goes in the pro-column for the way MC is written. Nine out of 10 times I find Chuuni characters hair tearingly annoying but here MC is written in a way that makes him endearing. What I didn't like was the banter between MC and the sidekick on the other hand. It feels like the author tried to force some MCU-like banter into the story where it doesn't fit. MC just lived 20+ years as a hermit and the moment another human turns up they are riffing off each other like they grew up together. I miss some build-up of their relationship here. Their closeness (for lack of a better word) feels unearned to me. - 7/10
Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Vol. 17 and 18 - There's not much to say about this volume. After all, this is the 17th Kuma³ Bear and I leave y'all with a quote by the unmatched David Byrne: "Same as it ever was, same as it ever was..." - 7/10
