I remember salting those things with my grandpa in his garden when I was a kid.

I also remember UCSC students cooking and eating them after the school adopted the banana slug mascot.

It seems they've changed its appearance

to thissmiling grey mascot looking like a grey tako hotdog

from thismascot has deep green skin, large eyes with huge pupils, flat wide mouth, and looks creepy while holding a real geoduck that looks as a trunk growing from a clam at best

The old one looked much more impressive

Eating slugs sounds like a good way to get horrific parasites… I wouldn’t even trust one that’s been burnt to charcoal.
