Also don't microwave in ceramic/glass dishes because they get too hot
I don't know what to microwave in
? Then justβ¦ put on some oven gloves to get it out..? π
Nah it's still hot after. And then one might wanna stream a show or something, holding a plate with an oven mitten is just unreasonable.
Microwave it in a bowl and then put the hot bowl on a plate you didnβt microwave.
Worth a try. Maybe slidey?
Roger, you are clear to slide.
Repeat, slidey is a GO
I use a pot holder, it works wonders.
Well since we've ruled everything else out, the answer has to be metal.
Worth a try
Proper glass shouldn't do that
My glass might be improper
Discipline it
Nah positive reinforcement works better
No I found it's blog, trust me, discipline it
Aerogel
Thanks now I want to try
You have choices, but sadly, "let the microwave do all the work" isn't one of them.
You can use the automatic "heat dinner" or whatever feature, but this is going to make everything in the oven way above eating temperature. Including the bowl. You meal will be fully thawed, but you need oven mitts to retrieve it.
You can also heat a few minutes at a time, stirring in between heatings. Passive convection of your soup doesn't work as well as you think, and even with a turntable, there are going to be cold spots. Doing this will save you time and energy. But you can forget doing much else in the meantime; I recommend scrolling Lemmy on your phone while you wait.
A solid compromise is to have a bowl or terrine (with handles if you can find it) that you use as a microwave cooking vessel. Then, transfer your lava-hot meal to a cooler bowl. By then it'll be closer to eating temperature anyway.
I kinda agree but then two dishes in the washer.
This situation clearly needs innovation
If you freeze it first, you can put it in without any container.
Instructions unclear. The frozen soup has disappeared after heating
