Hold on, donuts are supposed to be hot? Here even at pastry shops are always served at room temperature or slightly refrigerated.

At real Krispy Kreme stores, they make the donuts on this really cool conveyor belt right in front of you. Typically they give you a free donut when you walk in the door right off the conveyor belt nice and hot before the glaze has even cooled. It’s absolutely amazing.

I heard that, at least some, donuts & pastries are not meant to be eaten warm because the warmed fats/oils make for an unpleasant texture (or mouth feel, s'il vous plaît)

KK though are pretty damn nice when fresh, or even microwaved for a few seconds
