This week's episode flew through a couple different things. There was dividing up the demiplane between the monsters and the other demihumans, the students having a rematch with a dragon, Shiki and Makoto uncovering some demons, and then finally, some Sophia backstory.

In all honesty, I had forgotten the Sohpia/Root connection until partway through this episode when Jin was talking about Miranda. This episode helped fill in some of the gaps from last episode, showing that the students were doing their best over the summer vacation, just like the demiplane residents. If it wasn't clear from the show, it is elaborated on in the source that the students are not high enough level to conventionally be thought of capable of taking on these dragons. However, what we are supposed to take away from this is that, thanks to Makoto's unconventional training, that these students are much stronger than what their level would otherwise indicate.

Finally, I just wanted to point out that Eris is a surprisingly good artist!
